New Zealand Wool

Supporting the New Zealand Farmer

A pristine climate, clean water, fresh air, hardy grass and even hardier growers that look after the land and their animals with the of utmost care make New Zealand one of the kindest environments for sheep to live in, and happier sheep produce better wool. That is what gives our wool it's world reknowned status.

Just one of many reasons that New Zealand wool's quality is renowned worldwide!

INSULATING AND REGULATING
Wool works to regulate your body temperature, but trapping air pockets within its fibres using the crimp of the wool's fibres as well as microscopic scales on the fibres' surface. This mean it'll keep you cool when it's hot and warm when it's cold. Perfect for the unpredictable weather of New Zealand where one can experience all four seasons in one day!

DURABALITY
New Zealand Wool is highly durable, with fibres that can withstand wear and tear. Its natural elasticity allows it to bounce back to its original shape, keeping your garment looking like new for longer.

New Zealand Wool is tailor-made for the Kiwi lifestyle.

ECO FRIENDLY
Wool is fully biodegradable and is renewably sourced, with the sheep being shorn once a year for the health of the animal. At the end of its long life, your wool garment can be broken down and returned to the our natural ecosystem.

We respect our land so that it can provide our natural products.

A STORY OVER 150 YEARS IN THE MAKING
By the 1850's, sheep farming had become well established in New Zealand and played an important role in our economy. After hitting a peak sheep population of over 70 million sheep in 1982, the wool industry declined as consumers moved onto cheaper synthetic alternatives, however with rise of the eco conscious and fabric savvy consumer, a wool renaissance has began.
